EASTER IN WEYMOUTH...
DEEP diving is on the cards for our first weekend in Weymouth of the year.
We'll head to Dorset over Easter -on Friday April 6th and Saturday 7th.
The diving will be deep, with a trip to the Sidon a possibility.
As ever, we'll dive from the hard boat, Tango of Weymouth, with bargain accommodation also available on board.
Weekend trips will also be running on May 26th and September 1st - with the dives to be finalised nearer the time.
And don't forget we'll also head back to Cornwall in August, diving the beautiful Porthkerris for 6 days from August 9th. We've again charted the Celtic Cat to take us up to the Scylla - this year the trip will be on Friday August 10th so please book your spot soon.
For all the details, follow this link to our website, or get in touch with the team.

The trip is now sold out - but if you fancy joining us to dive the Red Sea - don't forget we're heading back to Egypt in September for a week in Dahab!
We head out on September 13th - and places are still available if you book soon!

MORE CHANCES TO QUALIFY FOR SUMMER!
WITH 12 students signed-up for our first Open Water programme to be run in Stratford, we're planning more!
This will include another Stratford course, starting in July, plus courses in Rugby and Coventry, as early as May!
And of course we continue to train in Warwick each and every week too.
The courses will all allow new divers to qualify in time for the summer.
Five pool sessions, with dive theory studied at home, are all that's needed before students head to open water to complete their certification over two days.
Once qualified, they will be fully fledged PADI Open Water Divers, able to scuba anywhere in the world.
Dates are still being finalised - for more information - or to reserve a spot - give us a call now!
And, as ever, please spread the word to anyone thinking of taking the plunge!

POKER AND PIZZA!
THERE'S still time to join our next social - an evening of poker and pizza!
It's all happening at the dive centre tomorrow evening - that's Friday March 30th - just give us a call to let us know you're coming!
And don't forget our usual drinks at The Moorings too - these will be happening a little later in the month this time round -on April 13th from 8pm.
We're shaking up our socials for the year ahead, with nights of cards and bowling already a great success.
We've been promising a summer barbecue - and we now have a date!
It'll be happening at the dive centre on Monday June 4th - that's the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Bank Holiday - so save the date!
And if you have an idea for a get-together - and you fancy organising it for us - give the team a shout! |

SELF RELIANT DIVER: SECOND CHANCE TO JOIN
IT WAS such a success, we'll be running the Self Reliant Diver once again - this time at Stoney Cove on April 9th.
The course introduces divers to the skills and advanced preparation necessary to handle situations where the divers interest, such as photography, or their role, as for example dive leader, effectively reduces the buddy support that divers habitually rely on for help in an emergency. It doesn't replace the buddy system or encourage solo diving but will increase awareness of the hazards of being alone.
A good course for all Divemasters and above, it requires a minimum of 100 dives and a redundant air source.
And call to join now!

OVER TO YOU!
THE next installment of our new section where we hear from YOU!
This month, Rob Dolan tells us about ScoobaBoosta's recent Wreck Speciality...
"On a cold Saturday morning in February we gathered, the brave and simple few. There were three handpicked students Sarah, Will and Rob, with our glorious instructor Lee. Our objective over the weekend was to penetrate The Stanegarth.
Yes we had all signed up to the Wreck Speciality course. Now diving in February can be cold and Stoney Cove didn't disappoint with temperatures of around three degrees. So we piled on the thermals, filled our hearts with laughter and took the plunge. Four dives over two days, leading to us all qualifying, and being able to safely penetrate wrecks.
Dive four was the one we had all been waiting for; we were finally going into the Stanegarth. We settled the nerves and off we went. The best way to describe it is "WOW" - it's great fun being able to explore inside a ship, getting to see what most divers miss out on.
We all had a great weekend with lots of laughs and plenty of fun. Somehow I have a new nickname and ScoobaBoosta has its own cook, but that's a story for another day! It will be one experience I think we will all treasure, our first penetration. A big thank you to Lee for helping to make it one to remember."
Now it's YOUR turn! We want your contributions on any diving related subject; be it a holiday, diving or training experience. Don't worry about your grammar or spelling; our editor will sort it out, we're just looking for a few words that others might like to read.
